How do I improve the performance of CBFS Storage?

CBFS Storage performance can be measured as the speed of operations or as the size of the storage file.

On the file system level, CBFS Storage operates with pages, much like common file systems use sectors and clusters (on an HDD) or blocks (in flash memory). The size of the page affects both speed and storage size. If the page size is large, each file occupies less pages and various operations are faster than when the page size is small. However, there's a certain overhead added for each file. On the other hand, when the page size is small, the overhead is low, but various operations are slower (as more pages must be read/written to the storage).

One of the ways to get both high speed and small overhead is to use compression.
