Windows 10 now supports long file names. Can we?

CBFS Connect has supported long file names since version 3. The problem with Windows is not that it doesn't support long file names before that patch (it actually has supported long names for about 20 years). The problem is in the applications, which have a hard-coded maximal length of the path, because that length is defined as a MAX_PATH constant in the Windows SDK and all supplementary SDKs, and it's fixed to be 260 chars for the complete path. So, if you start handling or allowing long file names, you will cause compatibility problems in those applications.
